Here’s what’s on my worktable right now.
I wrote in a recent blog post about why I work with upcycled materials, that it’s a creative constraint. These are the materials that are inspiring me right now – the piano keys, embroidery hoops and wooden spools.
One of the things I’m doing with the spools is applying fragments of letters to them, like these, that just happen to be under a glass dome in my studio:
I like working with the wooden spools and just bought some more of them.
To round out our quick studio tour, here’s my jeweler’s bench where I make jewelry, and it’s also where I write and draw in my sketchbook. Always black, 9″ x 12″ bound sketchbooks.
What do you think? Would you like to see more of the studio? Do you like these posts that give you a peak at what I’m doing? Please leave a comment, it’s always more fun for me when it’s a conversation!
I think this is totally creative. The spools idea is really awesome!!!
Thanks so much Porsche!
