Kokeshi Doll Suitcase Made of an Altoids Smalls Tin by Elaine Luther
Do you ever make something so cute you can’t believe it? I made this adorable suitcase during day camp this summer. Pictured here with a kokeshi doll for scale.
How to make it:
I gessoed the tin, let that dry.
Then I painted it black.
The handle is made out of a brown paper grocery bag, folded over into thirds and then shaped into a handle and glued on.
The little bumper stickers on the suitcase are cut from old postage stamps.
If you would like more detail on how to paint metal so that the paint stays on, I covered that in this post: Mixed Media in a Mint Tin, Part 2.
: ) Yes! Right up our alleys!
Thanks so much!
Yay! Another exciting tiny thing!
