Balance and Tension Mobiles – in the Wild

This piece, with its miniature teapot and creamer, is currently in the Reunion I show at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, Illinois. This is the first time it’s been in a show and not in a glass case!

This series didn’t originate, but did advance a lot while I was on a rural residency, and one of the things I did was hang the pieces in trees and leave them there to be a part of the landscape there. It makes sense then, to keep hanging these in trees, even if only temporarily. I like the way it looks!
