An assemblage sculpture is installed outdoors. A board with the remnant of a branch sticks out on one side, connected on top of that is a stair baluster. An open sphere shape balances a top the whole thing, made of wood hoops. Cascading out from below the sphere are long plastic strips in construction orange. Sculpture is by Elaine Luther.

Here’s my second outdoor piece in the series, Balance & Tension, which is about juggling all the things in life. I was a little worried that the neighbors might not like it, but the response has been positive and it survived gale force winds! One neighbor wanted to know the title. It doesn’t quite have one yet, but a friend suggested, “The Balance & Tension of Fire.”
