Have you discovered podcasts? I was thinking recently that podcasts are the new blogs, the new thing that people are excited about, where lots of interesting ideas are being discussed.
I listen to podcasts in the car and when I’m working out — and now that I’m a certified exercise nut, that’s a lot of podcast time!
As creative people, we need time to refill the creative well and it’s helpful to hear about other people struggling with the same creative or business challenges that we are.
Listening to podcasts can be a great source of inspiration, information and learning. Here are some of my favorites that I’d like to share with you!
How to be Amazing, hosted by Michael Ian Black
While She Naps, hosted by Abby Glassenberg
99 Percent Invisible
Stuff You Missed in History Class
On the business side of things, you might enjoy these:
Profit, Power, Pursuit with Tara Gentile
Fashion Brain/Jane Hamill Podcast with, who else? Jane Hamill of Fashion Brain Academy
Zen Courses Show with Janelle Allen (for course creators)
If you’re completely new to podcasts, here’s a podcast 101 post: What is a podcast and how do you listen?
Podcasts aren’t just found in iTunes, they’re now on Stitcher and Spotify as well, so they’re accessible to anyone. Don’t have a smart phone? You can even listen on the computer, right on the web.
