Today in the studio, I branched out into some new colors – magenta and orange. The orange is whew! really orange. I’m getting ready for a solo show and just as with the 100 Day Project, I’m trying new variations to add interest to what I’m making.
I’ve collected more doilies and dried plants to print and have branched out from hankies to add napkins, table cloths and table runners.
Here’s another image from the studio:

Solar Fast prints by Elaine Luther in blue, orange and magenta. Artwork Copyright Elaine Luther 2022.
Lots of plant-y things going on in the studio, between the prints and using actual leaves in art. Here’s an image of a wearable color, made with real skeleton leaves, and collaged with text fragments from real letters that I’ve received.
Materials: lace, thread, skeleton leaves, archival tissue paper and ink.
This is the first of the wearable collars, there are three so far.
That’s all I have photos of for now! The show opens May 1 and more details soon!
: ) Yes! Right up our alleys!
Thanks so much!
Yay! Another exciting tiny thing!
