Here’s a picture of the wooden spools like the ones I talked about in the last post. I made more. They’re wrapped with copies of fragments of letters from old friends, my grandmother and other relatives.
I used to be quite a letter writer and saved all the letters I got in return.
Some of the spools have bits of recipes on them, copied from recipe cards, hand typed, that I bought at an estate sale years ago. They’re all dated, and range from 1958 to about 1962.
These are all going into sculptures.
